Rice Krispy Treats

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter or marg.
  • 1 250g pkg. ( about 40 ) regular marshmallows
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 6 cups rice kris pies

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter on low heat and add marshmallows. Stir until melted and well blended. Remove from heat.
Stir in vanilla. Add cereal, stirring until coated.
Using slightly buttered spatula press into buttered 3.5L (13x9 ) pan. Cool and cut into squares.

For chewier squares, add 1 cup or approx. 8 more marshmallows.

For chocolate squares add some semi-sweet chocolate chips to the marshmallows while melting. ( to your taste, experiment to see how much you like )
