Chili Con Carne

Ingredients

  • 5 slices bacon
  • 8 oz hot Italian sausage
  • 1 1/2 lb beef stew meat
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 1 small green pepper, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 pickled jalepeno peppers, chopped
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp oregano
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 12 oz can tomato paste
  • 15 1/2 oz can pinto beans, pinto

Preparation

Step 1

Brown meat. Drain and sit aside. Saute onion, green pepper, and garlic until softened. Return meat to pot with all other ingredients. Simmer on low until tender.
