Peanut Brittle

Ingredients

  • 2 C White Sugar
  • 1 C Karo Syrup
  • 1/2 C Water
  • 2 C Raw Peanuts
  • 2 Tsp Butter
  • 1/8 Tsp Vanilla
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/8 tsp Salt

Preparation

Step 1

Bring sugar, syrup, water and
salt to a hard boil until it
has a VERY thin string from a
spoon. Add Peanuts. After
peanuts boil to a light golden
brown, add vanilla and baking
soda (a little more than level
teaspoon). Pour immediately
onto a butter greased cookie
sheet and let harden for several
hours before breaking into
pieces. Makes 32 oz.

NOTE: Do Not make on a Rainy day!
