Clam Chowder

Ingredients

  • 2 medium peled potatoes, cut into 1/4 inch cubes
  • 1 small onion, minced
  • 1 rib celery, chopped
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Freshly ground pepper
  • 5 cups clam juice
  • 2 cups minced clams'
  • 4 cups whipping cream

Preparation

Step 1

Combine all ingredients in a stockpot except the clams, cream and four cups of the clam juice. Heat to a boil, then simmer until otatoes are soft about 20 minutes. Stir in clams, cream and the rest of the clam jice. Heat to a simmer (do not boil) for about 10 minutes. Serve
