Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds fresh cranberries, washed and picked through
- 4 medium jalapeno peppers, seeded, deveined and finely chopped
- 1/3 cup red wine, any variety
- 3/4 cups packed dark brown sugar
- serves 12 - 2 WW points
Preparation
Step 1
A spicy spin on a Thanksgiving classic. Adjust the heat by leaving in some – or all – of the jalapeno seeds.
Combine all ingredients in a non-reactive pot; bring to a boil. Boil for 1 minute and then reduce heat to low; simmer for 10 minutes or until desired consistency and cranberries have popped. Cool and serve. Yields about 1/4 cup per serving.
