Preparation
Step 1
Make homemade ranch seasoning of 4 tsp dried parsley, 2 tsp dried onion flakes, 1 1/2 tsp dried dill, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp kosher salt, 1 tsp dried chives, 1/2 tsp onion powder, 1/4 tsp freshly ground pepper. In a slower cooker pour 1/4 c buttermilk then sprinkle 1 tbsp. of ranch seasoning over milk, then season 1 1/2 lbs chicken breast on both sides with ranch. Cook in single layer. Then top with six oz of cubed cream cheese. Cover and cook on low for 5 hours. When chicken is done, remove and shred. Then whisk remaining sauce and add one chopped jalepeno. Then re add chicken. Also make a slaw of whisked 1/4 c buttermilk, 2 tbsp olive oil, 1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar, 1/4 tsp sugar and remaining ranch seasoning. WE TRIED THIS 9/19/18 AND THE BOYS LOVED IT. RYAN HAD THE SLAW ON HIS AND IT WAS GOOD. I LIKED THE SLAW. IT WAS LIGHT AND NON CREAMY. I ALSO TOPPED THE SANDWHICHES WITH OVEN MADE BACON.
