Aunt Mary's Buttercream Frosting

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg white, beaten stiff
  • 1/2 cup Crisco
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

1. Bring sugar and milk to a boil and let cool.

2. Cream Crisco and butter; add slowly to the cooled liquid and beat. Add beaten egg white and vanilla.
