Step 1

Place eggs in a saucepan with enough water to cover them to a depth of 1 inch. Cover, bring to boiling point, remove from heat and let stand about 5 min. Allow longer time for a larger number of eggs or for firmer consistency.
Serve soft-cooked eggs for breakfast or make them into hot or cold dishes for lunch or supper or for buffet.
