Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup peanut butter
- 2/3 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 2/3 cups quick cooking oats
- 1/2 cup peanuts, dry roasted
- 1/2 cup Rice Krispies
- Topping
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 deg.
2 Spray a 9 X 9 inch baking dish.
3 In a 2 quart saucepan, melt butter. Add the peanut butter, brown sugar, corn syrup. Combine over med. heat until just starting to simmer. Remove from heat.
4 Add oats, peanuts and Rice Krispies.
5 Pour into prepared pan and pat evenly with spatula.
6 Bake in the oven for 16 minutes. Turn oven off and let sit in the oven for 3 minutes.
7 Remove from oven and let cool.
8 While that is cooling (in same saucepan), melt chocolate chips and peanut butter. Once smooth and combined, spread over the top of the cooled crust.
9 Let cool completely or refrigerated before cutting
