Ingredients
- 1 pkg. Hillshire Farms Smoked Sausage
- 8 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1-1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1-1/2 teaspoons dry mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teasoon black ground pepper
- 1-1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
Preparation
Step 1
1) Preheat oven to 350 dgrees. Cut sausage into 1/2"
cubes, set aside. Place eggs, cream, dry mustard,
salt and black pepper in a large bowl, whisk until
smooth.
2) Stir in sausage, 1 cup of cheese and green pepper.
Pour egg mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking
dish.
3) Bake 40-45 minutes or until eggs are set. Sprinkle
remaining 1/2 cup cheese. Let stand 5 minutes
before serving.
For added flavor, I like to saute the green pepper along with some chopped onion before adding these ingredients to the mixture. Also, the more cheese, the better, so add to your liking.
