Spicy Turkey Meatballs and Spaghetti

This recipe makes quite a bit of meatballs. The leftovers could be used in meatball subs!

Ingredients

  • 3

    cups bread cubes

  • cup whole milk

  • 2

    pounds ground turkey

  • ½

    lb. sweet Italian pork sausage, casings removed

  • 4

    oz. thinly sliced prosciutto, finely chopped

  • 1

    cup grated parmasean cheese

  • ½

    cup mined fresh parsley

  • 1

    t. dried oregano

  • 1

    t. crushed red pepper

  • 1

    T. salt

  • t. black pepper

  • 3

    T. EVOO

  • 2

    eggs, lightly beaten

  • 3

    jars good marinara

  • 2

    pounds spaghetti

Directions

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Place the bread in a food processor and process until you have med. bread crumbs. Put the crumbs in a bowl with the milk and set aside. In a large mixing bowl add all but the last two ingredients. stir lightly with a fork to combine. Roll into two inch balls and place on baking sheets. Brush meatballs with EVOO and bake for 35 to 40 minutes. Pour marinara in a large pot with the meatballs. Simmer while you prepare the spaghetti. Serve with extra cheese!
