  • CRUST:
  • 2 +1/2 cups flour
  • 2 tblsp lard (softened)
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of Nutmeg
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • FILLING:
  • Oil
  • White Sugar
  • Cinnamon

Step 1

Make crust and roll out thick: Mix flour with lard. Add dry ingredients and mix. Add eggs and slowly add milk as needed to make soft dough (may not require all milk). Roll out and put into glass baking pan bringing up the sides approximately 3/4 of the way. Brush with oil; sprinkle with generous amount of white sugar & cinnamon. Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown.
