Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 cup diced onions
- 1 cup thinly sliced scallions (whites and greens)
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 cup sour cream
- 3/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Using a large frying pan, sautnions in oil over medium heat until caramelized about 20 minutes. Set aside to cool.
Mix all other ingredients including scallions in large bowl. Add cooled onions and mix again. Refrigerate overnight to enhance flavors. Put in small individual containers or one large container depending on how you will be serving it from your cooler.
