Ingredients
- HONEY GARLIC SAUCE:
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon water
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, pounded to 1/4-inch thickness
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 scallion, sliced
Preparation
Step 1
In a shallow dish, combine flour, ginger, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper; mix well. In another shallow dish, beat eggs and water.
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons butter. Dip chicken in flour mixture, then in eggs, coating completely. Sauté chicken (in batches, if needed) 2 to 3 minutes per side or until golden and no longer pink in center, adding more butter as needed.
Meanwhile, in a saucepan over low heat, combine the Honey-Garlic Sauce ingredients and cook until heated through. Spoon the sauce over chicken and top with scallions before serving.
