Creamed Cauliflower

Ingredients

  • 1 med. head cauliflower, broken into florets
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt, divided
  • 1/2 c. dried bread crumbs
  • 1 c. half and half cream
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • Minced fresh parsley, optional

Preparation

Step 1

1. Place cauliflower in a saucepan, add 1 in. of water and 1 tsp. salt. Bring to boil. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 6-7 min or until crisp-tender; drain.

2. Grease the bottom and sides of a 2-qt. baking dish; sprinkle with 2 tbsp. bread crumbs. Add cauliflower. Pour cream over top. Dot with butter; sprinkle with remaining bread crumbs.

3. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degree F for 25-30 min or until cauliflower is tender. Garnish with parsley.
