Rice (Cardamon and Cumin)

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cardamom pods
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 2 q/4 converted rice

Preparation

Step 1

In a medium saucepan, melt butter and add cardamom and cumin and cook until fragrant, about 2 minutes. Add 4 cups water and salt, increase heat to bring to boil.

Stir in rice, cover and reduce heat to low. Cook for 4 minutes, stirring twice. Cover and simmer undisturbed for 20 minutes. Fluff rice before serving.
