Mostaccioli

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs. Italian sausage
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 16 oz. tomatoes
  • 6 oz. tomato paste
  • 1/3 c. water
  • 1 t. oregano
  • 1/4 t. pepper
  • 1 1/2 c. cottage cheese
  • 1 t. marjoram
  • 8 oz. mostaccioli
  • 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 3 c. shredded mozzarella

Preparation

Step 1

Brown meat; add onion. Cook until tender; drain. Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, water, oregano and pepper. Cover and simmer 30 minutes. Combine cottage cheese and marjoram. Layer half of noodles, meat, sauce and mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake 350º for 30 minutes.
