Ingredients
- 1 ½ CUP WATER
- 1 ½ TBS CARAWAY SEEDS
- 2 ¾ CUPS BREAD FLOUR
- ½ CUP RYE FLOUR
- ¾ TBS SALT
- 1 PKT. YEAST
Preparation
Step 1
CORNMEAL WASH: ½ TSP CORNSTARCH, ½ CUP WATER-MICROWAVE 1 MINUTE AND ALLOW TO COOL AND THICKEN
IN 1 CUP WATER, BOIL CARAWAY SEEDS, STRAIN AND ADD ADDITIONAL WATER TO EQUAL 1 ½ CUPS.
LOAD BREAD MACHINE IN ORDER RECOMMENDED.
AFTER 2 RISE, BRUSH TOP OF LOAF WITH CORNSTARCH WASH AND SPRINKLE WITH ADDITIONAL CARAWAY SEEDS.
BAKE 1 ½ LB LOAF, MEDIUM CRUST
