Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 stick (1⁄2 cup) butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 box (16-ounces) light brown sugar (2 1⁄4 cups packed)
  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 3 ⁄4 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a 13x9x2-inch
baking pan; set aside.
2. In a large mixing bowl, beat eggs. Add margarine and brown sugar. Mix well. Slowly add flour—mix well. Add nuts, if desired. Pour into prepared baking pan.
3. Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool slightly in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars while warm.
4. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired.
