Cabbage Rolls (Be 'wiched)

Ingredients

  • cabbage, water, salt and vinegar
  • 20 cups cooked white rice
  • 12 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup minced onion
  • 5 pounds ground beef
  • 3 pounds chorizo
  • 7 teaspoons salt
  • 7 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • diced tomatoes
  • cabbage leaves

Preparation

Step 1

Bring water to a boil in the soup kettle. Core cabbage. Add salt and vinegar to the boiling water. Boil heads of cabbage for 20 minutes.

In large bowl, combine cooked rice, eggs, milk, onion, ground beef, chorizo, salt, and pepper. Place about 1/4 cup of meat mixture in center of each cabbage leaf, and roll up, tucking in ends. Place rolls in pan on top of cabbage leaves, top with cabbage leaves.

Bake at 375 for 1 1/2 hours.
