Ingredients
- 3/4 c. flour
- 1/4 c. + 2 T. cocoa powder
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 t. baking powder
- 3 egg whites
- 1 t. vanilla
- 1/3 c. applesauce
- 1/2 c. very hot water
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350º. Sift together dry ingredients. Mix together the egg whites and vanilla. Add the egg white mixture and applesauce to the dry ingredients and mix together. Add the water; mix thoroughly. Spray only the bottom of an 8” square cake pan and pour in the batter. Bake 25 – 30 minutes or until wet spot in the center is gone. Do not overcook.
