OatMeal and Chocolate Chip Cookies-- Arthur Grandma's

Ingredients

• 1 cup packed brown asugar
• 1/2 lb. Crisco
• 1/2 cup boiling water
• ( Pour water to disolve first two ingredients)
• 1 tsp. Baking soda
• 1 tsp. Vanilla
• 2 cups flour
• 3 cups oatmeal
• 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

Mix the last 5 ingredients and blend in first 3 ingredients. Drop on cookie sheets.Bake in preheated 400 degree oven for about 10 minutes.
