Tuna Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 (8 oz.) package noodles
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 (9 1/4 oz.) can tuna, drained and flaked
  • 1 stack of round, buttery crackers, crushed
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Preparation

Step 1

Cook noodles according to package directions and place in a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish.

In a saucepan, melt butter and cook celery and onions until tender. Add to noodles.

In a separate bowl, blend the soup, flour, milk, pepper and thyme. Blend well and add to the tuna. Combine with the noodles and mix well.

Combine the cracker crumbs with the Parmesan cheese and sprinkle over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
