Teriyaki Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 cup long-grain rice
  • 2 cups fat-free chicken broth -- or beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 green onions -- sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic -- minced
  • 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Heat broth to a boil. Add salt and rice.
Return to a boil. Cover pan with lid. Simmer about 20 minutes or until rice is almost cooked.
Add onions, garlic, teriyaki sauce and brown sugar. Stir to combine.
Reheat for a few minutes until green onions are soft but not mushy.
