Ingredients
- Suggestions:
- 1/2 env. (1/4 c.) dry onion soup mix
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
- 1/4 cup salad oil
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Dash bottled hot pepper sauce
- 1 - 2 lbs. beef chuck, cut in 1 inch cubes
- 1 green bell pepper cut in pieces
- 1 red bell pepper
- Small white onions, or onion wedges
- Mushrooms
- Cherry tomatoes
- Canned whole potatoes
- Zucchini
- Whatever you like
Preparation
Step 1
1. In saucepan, combine first 8 ingredients and 1/2 cup water; bring to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes. Cool. Add meat and marinate at least 3 hours but preferably overnight. Drain meat, reserving marinade & thread meat and vegetables on the skewers and grill over medium heat, place reserved marinade in a small sauce pan and heat over medium heat until boiling turn down and simmer 5-10 mins then remove from the heat, turn skewers 1-2 times during cooking to evenly brown all sides, basting with re-heated marinade 2-3 times, cook until desired doneness, pass left over marinade at the table
