Split Pea Purée

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c green split peas, picked and rinsed
  • 1 c water

Preparation

Step 1

Combine split peas and the water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 30-45 minutes. Reserve liquid. Transfer peas to a blender and purée until smooth. Add reserved liquid if necessary.
