Oatmeal Carmelitas

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup quick cooking oats
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 3/4 cup caramel ice cream topping

Preparation

Step 1

Grease bottom and sides of 9" pan. Preheat oven to 350.

Combine flour, oats, brown sugar, soda, salt and melted butter. Press 1/2 mixture into bottom of pan. Bake for 10 minutes.

Remove dish from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips and chopped nuts.

Drizzle caramel ice cream topping over the top.

Crumble the remaining crust mixture over the top.

Bake 15 - 20 minutes or until golden brown. Chill slightly for easy cutting.
