Maid-Rite Original Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 T. vinegar (not white)
  • 1 T. instant minced onion
  • 1 t. salt
  • 1 1/2 cups Swanson's chicken broth, boiling
  • 2 T. prepared mustard
  • 2 T. ketchup
  • 8 hamburger buns

Preparation

Step 1

Brown meat lightly, drain fat.
Add vinegar, onion, salt, ketchup and mustard, stir well.
Add boiling broth.
Cover and simmer until meat is tender and liquid is absorbed.
Serve on hamburger buns with fresh chopped onions and mustard only.
