Cherry Butter Balls

Ingredients

• 1 c. butter, soft
• 1/4 c. powdered sugar, sifted
• 1 t. vanilla
• 2 c. flour
• maraschino cherries, halved
• powdered sugar, sifted

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter until light and fluffy, gradually adding sugar. Add vanilla; mix thoroughly. Blend in flour. Shape 1 t. dough around cherry. Place on ungreased cookie sheets; refrigerate about 15 minutes. Bake at 350º for 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool 5 minutes. Roll in powdered sugar.
