Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tea. cinnamon
- 1 t5ea. ginger
- 1 tea. baking soda
- 1/2 tea. salt
- 2 stocks butter, room temperature
- 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 te3a. vanilla
- 12 oz. butt3erscotoch chips
- powdered sugar
Preparation
Step 1
Whisk together flour, cinnamon, ginger, baking soda, and salt in a bowl; set aside. Cream butter and brown sugar with a mixer until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla, then add flour mixture.
Mix in flour mixture just until blended. Do not over mix or cookies could become tough.
Fold in butterscotch chips, then cover and chill dough until firm, about 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Shape dough into 2" balls using a #40 cookie scoop or tablespoon.
Roll balls of dough in powdered sugar and arrange on prepared baking sheets, spacing 3" apart. Bake until golden and just set, 12-14 minutes. Let cookies cool on the pan 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack.
