Ingredients
- 500 g butter or margarine
- 4 x 250ml (800g) sugar
- 500 g all-purpose flour
- 4 eggs
- 5 ml vanilla essence
- 250 ml cocoa
- 5 ml salt
- 250 ml (80g) desiccated coconut

Preparation
Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C.
2. Grease a 36x26cm baking dish
3. Heat sugar and butter in saucepan over medium heat until the butter melts. Cool down to room temp.
4. Beat in the eggs and vanilla essence into butter and sugar mixture.
5. Sift the flour, cocoa and salt together.
6. Stir flour, cocoa and salt into butter mixture with wooden spoon.
7. Stir coconut into mixture.
8. Spread the mixture evenly into the greased baking dish.
9. Bake for 35 min. Do not over bake.
10. Cool completely and cut into 5cm squares.
