Ingredients

  • Brownie Box Mix use a box mix recipe for a 9x9 pan
  • All ingredients needed to make the brownies per the back of the box
  • 1 15 oz can Pumpkin Puree
  • 1 14 oz can Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • Whipped Cream if desired for serving

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit.

Prepare brownie mix according to box directions. Pour mix into a greased 9x9 pan. (I greased my pan and placed parchment paper down for easy removal of the bars)

In a bowl add pumpkin puree, sweetened condensed milk, eggs, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and salt. Stir until fully incorporated.

Pour pumpkin pie mixture on top of brownie mixture.

Cook at 350 degrees fahrenheit for 45-60 minutes or until the pumpkin pie layer is done. You will know it is done when you can take a sharp, clean knife and cut through it without anything remaining on the knife. There might be a slight wobble left to the top of the pumpkin pie, but it won't be jiggly.

Let pumpkin pie brownie bars cool completely. Then serve with whipped cream if desired.
