Anise Easter bread

Ingredients

  • 6 eggs
  • 1 lemon juiced and grated rind
  • 1/4 cup melted margarine
  • 2 envelopes of dry yeast
  • 1 orange juiced and grated rind
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • milk to bring juices to 3/4 cup
  • 1 cup sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 7 cups of flour
  • 1 small bottle of anise

Preparation

Step 1

Add yeast to warm water with salt and little sugar. Beat eggs add sugar, juices and rind mix well

Add dissolved yeast, margarine, work into flour until smooth place in bowl. Heat Oven 3508
let raise until dough doubles. Put in floured pans
Baked 350* for 45 minutes

Brush with egg wash before removing from Oven
