Ingredients
- 1 large un-sliced loaf of dark rye bread
- 2 pounds of Wisconsin baby Swiss cheese
- 1 quart of home made sauerkraut or
- 1 large bag of Franks Kraut with 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 cups regular Thousand Island dressing
- 1 pounds of thin sliced corned beef
- 1/2 teaspoon Penzy's dry mustard
Preparation
Step 1
Slice 3/4 of the loaf into 1/2 inch slices and toast at 400 degrees for 5-7 minutes. Toast remaining bread after you have made it into crumbs
Spray 9x13 inch pan with cooking spray
Layer items into pan starting in this order: toasted bread, corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and spread layer of Thousand Island dressing on the top
Sprinkle toasted bread crumbs and dry mustard on the top
Bake at 360 degrees for 35-45 minutes till warm in the center
Cool 5 minutes before slicing and serving
