Blackberry-Apple Smoothie

Lemon yogurt is ideal for this recipe, but if you don’t have it on hand, vanilla or plain yogurt will do as well. When blackberries are in season, buy them fresh and freeze them yourself—frozen berries are essential to creating a thick texture.

Ingredients
- 2 cups frozen blackberries
- 1/2 cup V8 V-Fusion pomegranate blueberry juice
- 1 apple (such as Gala or Fuji), peeled and cut into 1-in. pieces
- 2/3 cup nonfat lemon yogurt (2, 6-oz. containers)
Preparation
Step 1
1. In a blender, puree the blackberries, V8 juice, apple and yogurt until smooth. Pour into glasses.
