Huckleberry Topping

Ingredients

  • 4 cups crushed huckleberries
  • 1 box powdered pectin
  • 5 cups sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Measure crushed berries into a large saucepan; stir in pectin. Place over high heat; stir until mixture comes to a boil. At once, stir in sugar. Bring to a full rolling boil; boil hard 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; skim and stir by turns for 5 minutes. Ladle into clean hot jars to within 1/4 inch of the top. Adjust lids and process in boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
