Ingredients

  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. quick oats
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed firm
  • 1/4 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 3/4 t cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. melted margarine
  • 1 c. pumpkin
  • 3/4 c. evaporated milk
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1/2 t. allspice
  • 1/4 t. salt

Preparation

Step 1

Combine flour, oats, brown sugar, nuts and 1 t. cinnamon. Add margarine; mix until crumbly. Press into bottom of 13 x 9 x 2” baking dish. Bake at 350º for 20 – 25 minutes. Remove from oven. Reduce oven temperature to 325º. Combine remaining ingredients. Pour over crust. Bake 25 – 30 minutes. Cool completely. Cream Cheese Topping: Beat together until fluffy 8 oz. softened cream cheese and ¼ c. orange marmalade. Spread over cooled bars. Garnish with crushed granola, chopped nuts or orange peel. Cut into bars.
