Italian Pork Braised in Milk

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 T chopped fresh sage
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 boneless pork loin roast
  • 2 T butter
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • cornstarch to thicken
  • salt and pepper to taste



Step 1

puree: oil, sage, garlic, salt, pepper flakes and zest in food processor and coat roast with mixture.
Sear roast in butter. Deglaze pan with wine and cook until reduced by half.

Pour milk into slow cook and roast and wine. Cover and cook until roast is fork tender 6-7 hours on low heat. season with salt and pepper.
