Brussels sprouts with Bacon

  • 2 lbs Brussels Sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 6 bacon slices, chopped
  • 2 Tbl apple juice or cider
  • Salt &pepper to taste



Step 1

Cook sprouts in steamer basket with lid on until almost tender, about 5 min
Meanwhile, cook bacon in large skillet until crisp & brown
Using a slotted spoon, transfer bacon to paper towels
Drain all but 3 Tbls of drippings from pan
Heat drippings on medium heat
Add sprouts & cook until tender & browned in spots, about 5 min
Add juice. Bring to boil,stirring gently until sprouts are coated
Season with salt& pepper
