Mongolian Beef - Slow Cooker

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 # flank steak
  • 1/4 C cornstarch
  • 2 Tbs olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp minced garlic
  • 3/4 C soy sauce
  • 3/4 C brown sugar
  • 3/4 C water
  • 1 C grated carrots
  • green onions for garnish

Preparation

Step 1

Cut flank steak into thin strips. In a ziplock bag, add flank steak pieces and cornstarch. Shake to coat.

In crock pot, add olive oil, garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, water and carrots. Stir until thoroughly mixed. Add coated steak strips, stir again until coated in the sauce.

Cook on high 2-3 hours; or low 4-5 hours.

Can serve over rice and garnish with green onions.
