Prune Cake

Ingredients

• 3 eggs
• 1 cup oil
• 1 1/2 cup sugar
• 2 cups flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1 teaspoon allspice
• 1 teaspoon nutmeg
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup buttermilk
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 cup nuts
• 2 cups Sunsweet Prunes (2 jars seeded prunes)

Preparation

Step 1

Mix and bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour.

TOPPING
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon Karo Syruo

Use a large saucepan; it will foam. Boil 1 minute. wait till foam goes down and pour over the cake.
