Au Gratin Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 10-12 medium red potatoes(white potatoes will work also--4-6 medium)
  • 1/4 - 1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese, loosely grated
  • 1/2-3/4 pt. whipping cream
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Dried chopped onion
  • Onion salt (all of the above seasonings to taste)

Preparation

Step 1

Cook potatoes with jackets or peeled and thinly sliced white potatoes until almost tender.
Put in a layer of the potatoes into a buttered glass pan--can be cake pan or au gratin pan.
Season.
Next, put on a layer of cheese.
Repeat process--be sure to end with cheese on top.
Drizzle whipped cream over all.
Bake at 350 uncovered for approx. 45min-1 hour.
This dish may be prepared a day ahead. Keep in fridge if serving later.
