Beer-Braised Meatballs

Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. italian bread crumbs
- 1/2 c. grated parmesan cheese
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1/3 c. finely chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 bottle (12 oz.) light beer
- 1 1/2 c. tomato sauce
- 1 c. ketchup
- 2 tbsp. tomato paste
- 1/2 c. packed brown sugar

Step 1
Preheat oven to 400. Line broiler pan w/ foil; spray rack w/ nonstick cooking spray. Combine beef, bread crumbs, cheese, eggs, onion, garlic, pepper, and salt in large bowl; shape into 1 inch balls.
Place meatballs on broiling rack. Bake 10 mins. or till browned. Combine beer, tomato sauce, ketchup, tomato paste, and sugar in large Dutch oven; bring to boil. Add meatballs and reduce heat. Cover and simmer 20-30 mins. or till meatballs are cooked through, stirring occassionally.
