Broccoli with Garlic

Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb broccoli, bite size pieces
  • 2 tbsp + 2 tsp butter
  • 1 1/2 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp + 1 1/2 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • 1/8 tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp crushed red peppers

Preparation

Step 1

Place broccoli into pot with 1" of water in bottom. Bring to boil and cook for 7 minutes or until tender, but still crisp. Drain and place in bowl.

While broccoli is cooking, melt butter in small skillet over medium heat. Mix in brown sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, pepper and garlic. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat and drizzle over broccoli. Sprinkle with crushed red pepper and serve immediately.
