Easy No-Rise Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients

  • Dough:
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 stick butter (softened)
  • 3/4 to 1 c. milk
  • Filling:
  • Butter
  • Brown Sugar
  • Cinnamon
  • Icing:
  • 3 TBSP butter (softened)
  • 3 c. powdered sugar
  • 3 TBSP cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • milk

Preparation

Step 1

To make dough, mix together dry ingredients. Then cut in butter. Add milk until the dough is a bit sticky.
Put on floured surface and roll out.

Spread filling on the rolled out dough: spread butter, then brown sugar and then cinnamon.

Roll up and slice into rolls. Bake at 375 for about 25 minutes.

Mix butter and cream cheese. Then add powdered sugar and vanilla. Add milk until you get consistency that can be drizzled on cinnamon rolls. (Makes a lot of icing. Can freeze extra and use later).
