Ingredients
- 2 cans chicken broth
- 1 cup cooked chopped chicken and-or pork
- 4 ounces thinly-sliced shitake mushrooms
- 1/2 cup thinly-sliced bamboo shoots
- 3 Tablespoons rice wine vinegar
- ( or rice vinegar and rice wine )
- 2 Tablespoons soysauce
- 1 1/2 teaspoons chili paste
- ( or Chinese chile sauce )
- 2 Tablespoons cornstarch
- enough water to make a thin paste
- with the cornstarch
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 4 ounces firm tofu cut into 1/2 inch pieces
- garnish : chopped cilantro
- and thinly sliced green onions
Preparation
Step 1
Place in the crock pot : all ingredients except the sesame oil, tofu, cilantro, and green onions. Cook at high for 2-3 hours or at low for 3-4 hours. Add the sesame oil and tofu and cook about 15 minutes. Garnish with cilantro and sliced green onions.
