Orange Blossom Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf frozen bread dough, thawed
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 2 T sugar
  • 2 T plus 1 t orange zest
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 T orange juice

Preparation

Step 1

On a lightly floured surface, roll thawed dough into a 14 inch by 9 inch rectangle. Combine butter, sugar, and 2 tablespoons zest; spread over dough, leaving a 1/2 inch border around edges. Roll dough up, jelly style, starting at one long side; pinch long seam to seal( do not seal ends). cut roll into 3/4 inch slices; place slices in a greased 13 x 9 baking pan. Cover and let rise in a warm place, about 85 degrees, for 40 minutes, or until double in bulk. Bake at 400 degrees, for 40 minutes, or until double in bulk. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden. Whisk together powdered sugar, juice and remaining zest until smooth; drizzle over hot rolls
