Roast Beef Tenderloin

Ingredients
- 1/4 c. dry white wine
- 1/4 c. brandy
- 3 T. lemon juice
- 2 T. snipped chives
- 1 1/2 t. salt
- 1 t. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 t. pepper
- 2 lbs. beef tenderloin
- 2 T. water
- 2 T. margarine

Step 1
Combine wine, brandy, lemon juice, chives, salt, Worcestershire sauce and pepper together. Place meat in plastic bag; set in loaf dish. Pour marinade over meat and tie closed. Let stand no longer than 2 hours. Remove meat, reserving marinade. Pat dry. Put meat on rack in roasting tin. Bake in 425º oven for 45 – 55 minutes, basting occasionally with ½ the marinade. In small saucepan heat remaining marinade, water and margarine until mixture bubbles. Serve with roast.
