Ingredients
- 4 cups whole milk
- 1 cup quick-cooking grits
- 4 Tbls unsalted butter
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese

Preparation
Step 1
Pour milk into a heavy sauce pan over medium high heat until bubbles appear along the edges of the pan. Just before it boils.
stir in the grits, gradually. (Dumping them in will cause undesireable lumps) use a wire whisk. Redice the heat to medium low and cover. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the butter and cheese and stir until melted. Add salt and pepper to taste.
