Ingredients
- 6 Ribeye Steaks (or Filets)
- Oil
- Kosher Salt
- Coarsely Cracked Black Pepper
- 6 T. Butter (blue cheese butter would be awesome!)
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400°. Wrap a cookie sheet with foil & place this in the preheating oven.
Heat a large skillet over high heat for 5-7 minutes. While your skillet heats up, prep the meat:
Brush the steaks lightly with oil all over. Sprinkle with salt & pepper.
Place steaks in the HOT pan. Pan and sear evenly on all sides for about 2 minutes per side, using tongs.
Place the steaks on the cookie sheet that's been heating in the oven. Place 1 T. Butter on each steak & cook for 8-10 minutes (thicker steaks will cook longer)
When the steaks are done, transfer to a plate & cover tightly with aluminum foil & allow to rest for 5-10 minutes. (resting allows the steak to retain all their juices.)
